In the Name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

  1. Reason and Faith

“… The darkness sacramental of the Eucharist is unfathomable. Besides, if it were intelligible, it would not be divine. If the God we serve could be understood by reason, he would not worth to be served, said Tauler*; … if the works of God were such that the intelligence of man could easily grasp them, they cease to be wonderful and could not be described as ineffable. ”

* John Tauler, theologian of the 14th

This excerpt, by Joris-Karl Huysmans, in his book, “En route”, describes the struggle of the majority of people with the concept that faith coincides with reason. The dichotomy between faith and reason is disastrous as it leads to an illusory perception of this world.

We are fortunate to live in an age where scientific and technological advances allow a better understanding of the precise physical and biological laws of this world. Unfortunately, divine grace always exposes the human’s ingratitude. Most people are convinced that reason and science prove the in-existence of God rather than His existence. The more they attain knowledge about the laws and systems of the entire universe, the more they incline to believe that the creation of the universe and the repetition of creation they witness every second passes by are accidental! They, thus, conclude that those laws and systems simply exist haphazardly. How irrational and ironic! Laws and systems do not exist without a supreme intelligence and an omnipotent source to establish them. If they were haphazardly set, how would they constantly perform in such sophistication, precision, consistency, coordination and harmony? Reason that does not lead to faith in a Supreme Authority does not reveal the entire truth. It is flawed since it cannot be fully traced, backed up and verified.

“The probability of life originating from accident is comparable to the probability of the Unabridged Dictionary resulting from an explosion in a printing factory.” Edwin Conklin

[Quran 12:103] Most people, no matter what you do, will not believe. [Quran 12:104] You are not asking them for any money; you simply deliver this reminder for all the people. [Quran 12:105] So many proofs in the heavens and the earth are given to them, but they pass by them, heedlessly! [Quran 2:258] Have you noted the one who argued with Abraham about his Lord, though God had given him kingship? Abraham said, “My Lord grants life and death.” He said, “I grant life and death.” Abraham said, “God brings the sun from the east, can you bring it from the west?” The disbeliever was stumped. God does not guide the wicked.

Another irony is that the majority of those who believe in God go to the other extreme and abolish all forms of reason! Their spiritual path becomes illogical and mystical. It is based on superstition and concepts that contradict both commonsense and the physical laws of this world. Without questioning or verifying, they repeat their ancestral religious practices or follow their opinions and traditions even if they contradict the scripture they claim to uphold. Thus, they lead a life with a fake spirit and unauthentic identity that has nothing to do with the title of their faith.. They are diverted from the path of God, without knowing, supported by Satan who always promotes idol worship under the guise of monotheism. Faith without reason does not reveal the entire truth. Faith without reason is also flawed and fake since it cannot be fully traced, backed up and verified.

[Quran 12:108] Say, “This is my path: I invite to God, on the basis of a clear proof, and so do those who follow me. God be glorified. I am not an idol worshiper.” [Quran 29:61] If you ask them, “Who created the heavens and the earth, and put the sun and the moon in your service,” they will say, “God.” Why then did they deviate? [Quran 29:62] God is the One who increases the provision for whomever He chooses from among His creatures, and withholds it. God is fully aware of all things. [Quran 29:63] If you ask them, “Who sends down from the sky water, to revive dead land,” they will say, “God.” Say, “Praise God.” Most of them do not understand. [Quran 29:64] This worldly life is no more than vanity and play, while the abode of the Hereafter is the real life, if they only knew. [Quran 31:29] Do you not realize that God merges the night into the day and merges the day into the night, and that He has committed the sun and the moon in your service, each running in its orbit for a specific life span, and that God is fully Cognizant of everything you do? [Quran 2:170] When they are told, “Follow what God has revealed herein,” they say, “We follow only what we found our parents doing.” What if their parents did not understand, and were not guided? [Quran 2:171] The example of such disbelievers is that of parrots who repeat what they hear of sounds and calls, without understanding. Deaf, dumb, and blind; they cannot understand. [Quran 9:31] They have set up their religious leaders and scholars as lords, instead of God. Others deified the Messiah, son of Mary. They were all commanded to worship only one god. There is no god except He. Be He glorified, high above having any partners. [Quran 10:34] Say, “Can any of your idols initiate creation, then repeat it?” Say, “God initiates the creation, then repeats it. How could you deviate?” [Quran 10:35] Say, “Does any of your idols guide to the truth?” Say, “God guides to the truth. Is one who guides to the truth more worthy of being followed, or one who does not guide, and needs guidance for himself? What is wrong with your judgment?”

This systematic opposition between the truth of faith and truth of reason is absurd. The truth stands by itself as ONE, VERIFIABLE and COHERENT TRUTH with no conditions or contradictions. If something is not true, then it has to be false and unverifiable. Reason, by itself, cannot and will not stand behind or justify creation, life and death. Blind, man-made faith that does not acknowledge science cannot stand behind or explain why we are here. There has to be one supremacy and one intelligence, a source and a founder of all facts, scientific and religious. That is God, the Creator, the Designer and the Artisan. He is that ONE, VERIFIABLE and COHERENT TRUTH. That is why the truth of reason & science and truth of faith are one and the same; they describe the same reality.

[Quran 10:32] Such is God, your rightful Lord. What is there after the truth, except falsehood? How could you disregard all this? [Quran 10:36] Most of them follow nothing but conjecture, and conjecture is no substitute for the truth. God is fully aware of everything they do.

The use of our brains is crucial to process what we hear, witness or observe. In other words, there is what we see and what we need to understand of what we see. There is what we hear and that we need to understand of what we hear. This is why God recommends and commands the use of brains as a basic step to grow in spirit and to strengthen the souls.

Once we analyze and process given data, then, recognize and choose God, we need His guidance to understand, discern and perceive the reality beyond the materialistic illusion of this world. Those who choose to disbelieve are deprived of such divine guidance. Thus, the choice we make, belief or disbelief, will have a direct and a fundamental impact on our intellect (19:75-76, 10:33, 6:109-110, 21:79). By the grace of God and His guiding mechanisms, believers develop logical, objective and scientific reasoning skills to better understand God’s message in His scripture. Consequently, they fully perceive it, grasp it and utilize it to grow spiritually. In other words, it is the intelligence and the reason that bring believers to the realization that they must choose to pay attention to and develop their souls to be able to rejoin God’s kingdom. It is the intelligence and reason that empower them to reach the inner balance of persevering on the straight path to achieve the eternal bliss with God while enjoying, appreciating and sharing His blessings during this temporary life.

[Quran 3:18] God bears witness that there is no god except He, and so do the angels and those who possess knowledge. Truthfully and equitably, He is the absolute god; there is no god but He, the Almighty, Most Wise. [Quran 17:36] You shall not accept any information, unless you verify it for yourself. I have given you the hearing, the eyesight, and the brain, and you are responsible for using them. [Quran 30:44] Whoever disbelieves, disbelieves to the detriment of his own soul, while those who lead a righteous life, do so to strengthen and develop their own souls. [Quran 9:69] Some of those before you were stronger than you, and possessed more money and children. They became preoccupied with their material possessions. Similarly, you have become preoccupied with your material possessions, just like those before you have become preoccupied. You have become totally heedless, just as they were heedless. Such are the people who nullify their works, both in this world and in the Hereafter; they are the losers.

God granted us the intelligence to analyze, process and distinguish all the seen and heard around us. Then, He communicated with us through a Quran containing a message that this intelligence we are equipped with can and must understand. A Quran that is formulated in civil, moral, spiritual and physical laws and is structured by mathematical laws for its constant authentication and preservation.

[Quran 55:1] The Most Gracious. [Quran 55:2] Teacher of the Quran. [Quran 55:3] Creator of the human beings. [Quran 55:4] He taught them how to distinguish. [Quran 55:5] The sun and the moon are perfectly calculated. [Quran 55:6] The stars and the trees prostrate. [Quran 55:7] He constructed the sky and established the law. [Quran 55:8] You shall not transgress the law. [Quran 55:9] You shall establish justice; do not violate the law.

When Quran is processed by those who choose to use their intelligence (their brains), God intervenes so they properly grasp the reality of this journey on earth (2:257), its meaning and purpose (51:55-57, 90:4, 44:39, 14:19, 15:85). They witness the complete and verifiable one truth that sound reason must lead to true faith, to one God, one source and authority of all laws and values. They see, hear, comprehend and perceive the phenomenon of God. They persevere to redeem their souls and securely return to God in peace, contentment and dignity.

[Quran 38:45] Remember also our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. They were resourceful, and possessed vision. [Quran 38:46] We bestowed upon them a great blessing: awareness of the Hereafter. [Quran 3:190] In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of night and day, there are signs for those who possess intelligence. [Quran 3:191] They remember God while standing, sitting, and on their sides, and they reflect upon the creation of the heavens and the earth: “Our Lord, You did not create all this in vain. Be You glorified. Save us from the retribution of Hell. [Quran 3:192] “Our Lord, whomever You commit to Hell are the ones You have forsaken. Such transgressors have no helpers. [Quran 3:193] “Our Lord, we have heard a caller calling to faith and proclaiming: `You shall believe in your Lord,’ and we have believed. Our Lord, forgive us our transgressions, remit our sins, and let us die as righteous believers. [Quran 3:194] “Our Lord, shower us with the blessings you promised us through Your messengers, and do not forsake us on the Day of Resurrection. You never break a promise.”

[Quran 40:64] God is the One who rendered the earth habitable for you, and the sky a formidable structure, and He designed you, and designed you well. He is the One who provides you with good provisions.* Such is God your Lord; Most Exalted is God, Lord of the universe. [Quran 40:65] He is the Living; there is no god except He. 1. Who is the One..? God is the One who..

[Quran 27:60] Who is the One who created the heavens and the earth? Who is the One who sends down to you from the sky water, whereby we produce gardens full of beauty – you could not possibly manufacture its trees? Is it another god with God? Indeed, they are people who have deviated. [Quran 27:61] Who is the One who made the earth habitable, caused rivers to run through it, placed on it mountains, and created a barrier between the two waters? Is it another god with God? Indeed, most of them do not know. [Quran 27:62] Who is the One who rescues those who become desperate and call upon Him, relieves adversity, and makes you inheritors of the earth? Is it another god with God? Rarely do you take heed. [Quran 27:63] Who is the One who guides you in the darkness of land and sea? Who is the One who sends the winds with good news, signaling His mercy? Is it another god with God? Most exalted is God, above having any partner. [Quran 27:64] Who is the One who initiates the creation, then repeats it? Who is the One who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? Is it another god with God? Say, “Show me your proof, if you are truthful.” [Quran 10:31] Say, “Who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? Who controls all the hearing and the eyesight? Who produces the living from the dead, and the dead from the living? Who is in control of all things?” They would say, “God.” Say, “Why then do you not observe the commandments?” [Quran 23:86] Say, “Who is the Lord of the seven universes; the Lord of the great dominion?” [Quran 23:87] They will say, “God.” Say, “Why then do you not turn righteous?” [Quran 23:88] Say, “In whose hand is all sovereignty over all things, and He is the only one who can provide help, but needs no help, if you know?” [Quran 23:89] They will say, “God.” Say, “Where did you go wrong?” [Quran 13:16] Say, “Who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth?” Say, “God.” Say, “Why then do you set up besides Him masters who do not possess any power to benefit or harm even themselves?”….. [Quran 67:21] Who is there to provide for you, if He withholds His provisions? Indeed, they have plunged deep into transgression and aversion. [Quran 67:23] Say, “He is the One who initiated you, and granted you the hearing, the eyes, and the brains. Rarely are you appreciative.” [Quran 67:24] Say, “He is the One who placed you on earth, and before Him you will be summoned.”

As for those who disbelieve, they incur hellish drinks, and a painful retribution for their disbelieving. [Quran 10:5] He is the One who rendered the sun radiant, and the moon a light, and He designed its phases that you may learn to count the years and to calculate. God did not create all this, except for a specific purpose. He explains the revelations for people who know. [Quran 10:22] He is the One who moves you across the land and sea. You get onto the ships, and they sail smoothly in a nice breeze. … [Quran 10:67] He is the One who rendered the night for your rest, and rendered the day lighted. These are proofs for people who can hear. [Quran 13:2] God is the One who raised the heavens without pillars that you can see, then assumed all authority. He committed the sun and the moon, each running (in its orbit) for a predetermined period. He controls all things, and explains the revelations, that you may attain certainty about meeting your Lord. [Quran 13:3] He is the One who constructed the earth and placed on it mountains and rivers. And from the different kinds of fruits, He made them into pairs – males and females. The night overtakes the day. These are solid proofs for people who think. [Quran 13:12] He is the One who shows you the lightning as a source of fear, as well as hope, and He initiates the loaded clouds. [Quran 13:26] God is the One who increases the provision for whomever He wills, or withholds it. They have become preoccupied with this life; and this life, compared to the Hereafter, is nil. [Quran 27:25] They should have been prostrating before God, the One who manifests all the mysteries in the heavens and the earth, and the One who knows everything you conceal and everything you declare. [Quran 43:85] Most Exalted is the One who possesses all sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them. With Him is the knowledge about the Hour (end of the world), and to Him you will be returned. [Quran 31:34] With God is the knowledge about the Hour (end of the world). He is the One who sends down the rain, and He knows the contents of the womb. No soul knows what will happen to it tomorrow, and no one knows in which land he or she will die. God is Omniscient, Cognizant. [Quran 33:43] He is the One who helps you, together with His angels, to lead you out of darkness into the light. He is Most Merciful towards the believers. [Quran 42:25] He is the One who accepts the repentance from His servants, and remits the sins. He is fully aware of everything you do. [Quran 53:43] He is the One who makes you laugh or cry. [Quran 36:36] Glory be to the One who created all kinds of plants from the earth, as well as themselves, and other creations that they do not even know. [Quran 43:12] He is the One who created all kinds, in pairs (male and female), and He created for you ships and livestock to ride. [Quran 67:19] Have they not seen the birds above them lined up in columns and spreading their wings? The Most Gracious is the One who holds them in the air. He is Seer of all things. AND:

[Quran 40:13] He is the One who continuously shows you His proofs, and sends down to you from the sky provisions. Only those who totally submit will be able to take heed. [Quran 57:3] He is the Alpha and the Omega. He is the Outermost and the Innermost. He is fully aware of all things. [Quran 59:22] He is the One God; there is no other god beside Him. Knower of all secrets and declarations. He is the Most Gracious, Most Merciful. [Quran 59:23] He isthe One God; there is no other god beside Him. The King, the Most Sacred, the Peace, the Most Faithful, the Supreme, the Almighty, the Most Powerful, the Most Dignified. God be glorified; far above having partners. [Quran 59:24] He is the One God; the Creator, the Initiator, the Designer. To Him belong the most beautiful names. Glorifying Him is everything in the heavens and the earth. He is the Almighty, Most Wise.

  1. Among His Proofs

[Quran 16:17] Is One who creates like one who does not create? Would you now take heed?

It is prophesied in God’s final scripture that His proofs are going to overwhelm all human beings until they realize and witness His truth.

A Great Prophecy*[Quran 41:53] We will show them our proofs in the horizons, and within themselves, until they realize that this is the truth.* Is your Lord not sufficient as a witness of all things?

[Quran 27:93] And say, “Praise be to God; He will show you His proofs, until you recognize them. Your Lord is never unaware of anything you do.”

Since the time of Noah, the Most Merciful has been sending his prophets and messengers with clear proofs and scriptures to get the humans out of darkness and help them reach deep inside themselves for the monotheistic instinct He placed in their hearts (30:30). He also perfected His blessings all around them so they can witness His presence and reach the conviction that He must be the Supreme and the Only One Authoritative Creator.

Those who are duped by Satan walk through earth totally oblivious to God’s truth, as if He never gave them the hearing, the eyesight and the brain. They can never comprehend His proofs no matter how clear they are as it is a divine system that His proofs are to be beneficial ONLY for the souls of the believers. God already informed us that most people are either blind to His proofs or they slide back after witnessing them. Once this decision is made, it is a divine law that they are to be kept in the dark.

[Quran 10:101] Say, “Look at all the signs in the heavens and the earth.” All the proofs and all the warnings can never help people who decided to disbelieve.

Divine Intervention

Keeps the Disbelievers in the Dark [Quran 7:146] I will divert from My revelations those who are arrogant on earth, without justification. Consequently, when they see every kind of proof they will not believe. And when they see the path of guidance they will not adopt it as their path, but when they see the path of straying they will adopt it as their path. This is the consequence of their rejecting our proofs, and being totally heedless thereof.

[Quran 6:25] Some of them listen to you, but we place veils on their hearts to prevent them from understanding, and deafness in their ears. Thus, no matter what kind of proof they see, they cannot believe. Thus, when they come to argue with you, the disbelievers say, “These are tales from the past.” [Quran 3:86] Why should God guide people who disbelieved after believing, and after witnessing that the messenger is truth, and after solid proofs* have been given to them? God does not guide the wicked. [Quran 40:13] He is the One who continuously shows you His proofs, and sends down to you from the sky provisions. Only those who totally submit will be able to take heed. [Quran 87:10] The reverent will take heed. [Quran 87:11] The wicked will avoid it. [Quran 51:55] And remind, for the reminder benefits the believers. [Quran 45:3]The heavens and the earth are full of proofs for the believers.

Praise be to God for fulfilling His promise and constantly showing us His solid proofs. He counted the following among them so we can reflect and glorify and value Him the way it should be:

[Quran 45:3] The heavens and the earth are full of proofs for the believers: [Quran 30:20] Among His proofs is that He created you from dust, then you became reproducing humans. [Quran 45:13] He committed in your service everything in the heavens and the earth; all from Him. These are proofs for people who reflect. [Quran 30:21] Among His proofs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves, in order to have tranquility and contentment with each other, and He placed in your hearts love and care towards your spouses. In this, there are sufficient proofs for people who think. [Quran 30:22] Among His proofs are the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variations in your languages and your colors. In these, there are signs for the knowledgeable. [Quran 30:23] Among His proofs is your sleeping during the night or the day, and your working in pursuit of His provisions. In this, there are sufficient proofs for people who can hear. [Quran 30:24] Among His proofs is that He shows you the lightning as a source of fear, as well as hope, then He sends down from the sky water to revive a land that has been dead. In these, there are sufficient proofs for people who understand. [Quran 30:25] Among His proofs is that the heaven and the earth are standing at His disposal. Finally, when He calls you out of the earth, one call, you will immediately come out. [Quran 42:29] Among His proofs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the creatures He spreads in them. He is able to summon them, when He wills. [Quran 45:3] The heavens and the earth are full of proofs for the believers. [Quran 45:4] Also in your creation, and the creation of all the animals, there are proofs for people who are certain. [Quran 45:5] Also, the alternation of the night and the day, and the provisions that God sends down from the sky to revive dead lands, and the manipulation of the winds; all these are proofs for people who understand. [Quran 10:67] He is the One who rendered the night for your rest, and rendered the day lighted. These are proofs for people who can hear. [Quran 13:3] He is the One who constructed the earth and placed on it mountains and rivers. And from the different kinds of fruits, He made them into pairs – males and females. The night overtakes the day. These are solid proofs for people who think. [Quran 13:4] On earth, there are adjacent lots that produce orchards of grapes, crops, palm trees – dioecious and non-dioecious. Although they are irrigated with the same water, we prefer some of them over others in eating. These are solid proofs for people who understand. [Quran 16:10] He sends down from the sky water for your drink, and to grow trees for your benefit. [Quran 16:11] With it, He grows for you crops, olives, date palms, grapes, and all kinds of fruits. This is (sufficient) proof for people who think. [Quran 16:12] And He commits, in your service, the night and the day, as well as the sun and the moon. Also, the stars are committed by His command. These are (sufficient) proofs for people who understand. [Quran 16:13] And (He created) for you on earth things of various colors. This is a (sufficient) proof for people who take heed. [Quran 16:14] And He committed the sea to serve you; you eat from it tender meat, and extract jewelry which you wear. And you see the ships roaming it for your commercial benefits, as you seek His bounties, that you may be appreciative. [Quran 16:15] And He placed stabilizers (mountains) on earth, lest it tumbles with you, as well as rivers and roads, that you may be guided. [Quran 16:16] And landmarks, as well as the stars; to be used for navigation. [Quran 16:17] Is One who creates like one who does not create? Would you now take heed?

Additional Proofs From God

[Quran 16:65] God sends down from the sky water to revive the land after it had died. This should be (sufficient) proof for people who hear. [Quran 16:66] And in the livestock there is a lesson for you: we provide you with a drink from their bellies. From the midst of digested food and blood, you get pure milk, delicious for the drinkers. [Quran 16:67] And from the fruits of date palms and grapes you produce intoxicants, as well as good provisions. This should be (sufficient) proof for people who understand.

The Bee[Quran 16:68] And your Lord inspired the bee: build homes in mountains and trees, and in (the hives) they build for you.

[Quran 16:69] Then eat from all the fruits, following the design of your Lord, precisely. From their bellies comes a drink of different colors, wherein there is healing for the people. This should be (sufficient) proof for people who reflect.* [Quran 16:79] Do they not see the birds committed to fly in the atmosphere of the sky? None holds them up in the air except God. This should be (sufficient) proof for people who believe. [Quran 16:80] And God provided for you stationary homes where you can live. And He provided for you portable homes made of the hides of livestock, so you can use them when you travel, and when you settle down. And from their wools, furs, and hair, you make furnishings and luxuries for a while. [Quran 16:81] And God provided for you shade through things which He created, and provided for you shelters in the mountains, and provided for you garments that protect you from heat, and garments that protect when you fight in wars. He thus perfects His blessings upon you that you may submit. [Quran 20:53] He is the One who made the earth habitable for you, and paved in it roads for you. And He sends down from the sky water with which we produce many different kinds of plants. [Quran 20:54] Eat and raise your livestock. These are sufficient proofs for those who possess intelligence.* [Quran 25:61] Most blessed is the One who placed constellations in the sky, and placed in it a lamp, and a shining moon. [Quran 25:62] He is the One who designed the night and the day to alternate: a sufficient proof for those who wish to take heed, or to be appreciative. [Quran 30:46] Among His proofs is that He sends the winds with good omen, to shower you with His mercy, and to allow the ships to run in the sea in accordance with His rules, and for you to seek His bounties (through commerce), that you may be appreciative. [Quran 42:32] Among His proofs are the ships that sail the sea with sails like flags. [Quran 42:33] If He willed, He could have stilled the winds, leaving them motionless on top of the water. These are proofs for those who are steadfast, appreciative. [Quran 31:31] Do you not see that the ships roam the sea, carrying God’s provisions, to show you some of His proofs? Indeed, these should be sufficient proofs for everyone who is steadfast, appreciative. [Quran 41:39] Among His proofs is that you see the land still, then, as soon as we shower it with water, it vibrates with life. Surely, the One who revived it can revive the dead. He is Omnipotent.

We are surrounded by His blessings. Every moment we consume on this earth is a balanced and perfect complex of solid proofs. As specified in all the above examples, His proofs are ONLY for the benefit of the appreciative believers. As for the blind ones, SAY:

[Quran 40:81] He thus shows you His proofs. Which of God’s proofs can you deny? [Quran 10:34] Say, “Can any of your idols initiate creation, then repeat it?” Say, “God initiates the creation, then repeats it.” How could you deviate? [Quran 10:35] Say, “Does any of your idols guide to the truth?” Say, “God guides to the truth. Is one who guides to the truth more worthy of being followed, or one who does not guide, and needs guidance for himself? What is wrong with your judgment?” [Quran 2:209] If you backslide, after the clear proofs have come to you, then know that God is Almighty, Most Wise. [Quran 2:210] Are they waiting until God Himself comes to them in dense clouds, together with the angels? When this happens, the whole matter will be terminated, and to God everything will be returned.* [Quran 109:1] Say, “O you disbelievers.  [Quran 109:2] “I do not worship what you worship. [Quran 109:3] “Nor do you worship what I worship. [Quran 109:4] “Nor will I ever worship what you worship. [Quran 109:5] “Nor will you ever worship what I worship. [Quran 109:6] “To you is your religion, and to me is my religion.”

  1. Prostrating to Him

[Quran 51:47] We constructed the sky with our hands, and we will continue to expand it.

Another evidence of the divinity of the words of the Quran is the theory of expansion of the universe. This theory was discovered in the 20th century when they found out that the galaxies are moving away from us and the farther they are, the faster they are receding. The universe as a whole is, not only expanding, but also accelerating outward.

[Quran 39:63] To Him belongs all decisions in the heavens and the earth, and those who disbelieve in God’s revelations are the real losers.

It is His decision, that the stars do not crash at each other and that each galaxy with its stars, rotate in an exact perfect orbit and it is His decision that some stars are born and others die. His decision that galaxies move apart from each other in the ever expanding universe. As it is His decision to exile the ignorant humans to a tiny speck in His enormous universe.

[Quran 64:1] Glorifying God is everything in the heavens and everything on earth. To Him belongs all kingship, and to Him belongs all praise, and He is Omnipotent. [Quran 59:24] He is the One God; the Creator, the Initiator, the Designer. To Him belong the most beautiful names. Glorifying Him is everything in the heavens and the earth. He is the Almighty, Most Wise.

Glorifying Him are, more than fifty billion trillion stars in the visible universe, the. giant galaxies, the clusters, the super clusters, in humility. Glorifying Him, are billions of bright supernovae, black holes, meteors, dark matter, hot stars, frozen planets and many unknown heavenly bodies that we will never, ever see or hear about. Every single atom, electron, proton and every single minute particle in them. Prostrating to Him are all the powers, the great energy, the blazing heat, the magnificent glow , the whispering dark, the electromagnetic waves, the light photons and gravitational forces holding all the stars, keeping them rotating and glorifying in submissive harmony out there. While the rebellious humans on their minute distant speck, are too arrogant to obey or appreciate their awesome Creator.

[Quran 17:44] Glorifying Him are the seven universes, the earth, and everyone in them. There is nothing that does not glorify Him, but you do not understand their glorification. He is Clement, Forgiver. [Quran 22:18] Do you not realize that to God prostrates everyone in the heavens and the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the mountains, and the trees, and the animals, and many people? Many others among the people are committed to doom. Whomever God shames, none will honor him. Everything is in accordance with God’s will.

Only few centuries ago, scientists discovered the motion of the stars and the galaxies that are moving away from earth and each other, in the accelerating expanding universe. They are yet to learn about the 7 universes that are created in layers as they continue to refuse to appreciate the enlightenment and the knowledge God blessed us with in Quran. They keep coming up with ignorant theories about a multiverse and flat universe with flat layers of bubbles on top of each other, while arrogantly ignoring what the students of The Final Testament already know.

[Quran 51:47] We constructed the sky with our hands, and we will continue to expand it.

Believers do not take the spatial expansion of the universe lightly, because they realize well what this means as expressed in the following verse:

[Quran 57:21] Therefore, you shall race towards forgiveness from your Lord, and a Paradise whose width encompasses the heaven and the earth. It awaits those who believed in God and His messengers. Such is God’s grace that He bestows upon whomever He wills. God is Possessor of Infinite Grace.

And the higher the Heaven, the larger the size, a size that is far, far beyond our imagination!! According to recent science, the size of the complete universe is to the observable universe, as the size of the observable universe is to an atom. Calculations recently showed that the minimum diameter of the entire universe could be more than 170 billion light years, and continues to expand, never being able to calculate the maximum diameter. As believers, we realize that all their calculations are related to only our smallest inner universe, the smallest of seven.

[Quran 39:67] They can never fathom the greatness of God. The whole earth is within His fist on the Day of Resurrection. In fact, the universes are folded within His right hand. Be He glorified; He is much too high above needing any partners. [Quran 65:12] God created seven universes and the same number of earths. The commands flow among them. This is to let you know that God is Omnipotent, and that God is fully aware of all things.

Our knowledge about the size of the universe might help us appreciate the greatness of God. Now we know that His dominion encompasses enormous universes with countless galaxies, infinite orbits and great distances crossed in fraction of seconds.

[Quran 2:131] …., “I submit to the Lord of the universe.”

  1. A Blink of an Eye

[Quran 16:77] To God belongs the future of the heavens and the earth. As far as He is concerned, the end of the world (the Hour) is a blink of an eye away, or even closer. God is Omnipotent. [Quran 22:47] They challenge you to bring retribution, and God never fails to fulfill His prophecy. A day of your Lord is like a thousand of your years. [Quran 32:5] All matters are controlled by Him from the heaven to the earth [then climb to Him]* in a day that equals one thousands of your years.

These revelations describe a concept that was learned only recently that is called time dilation. Fourteen centuries ago, Quran was sent down with the knowledge of several scientific phenomena and theories as the Big Bang, the egg shaped earth and the high altitude atmosphere. Among the scientific theories that were recently discovered is Einstien’s theory of Relativity and the phenomenon of time dilation which were discovered, in the beginning of the 20th century.

Time dilation refers to what happens to time if a spaceship travels into space, close to the speed of light ” 186, 000 miles a second “. When we travel into space, close to the speed of light, time slows down, i.e.; it dilates.

So, if one travels into space near the speed of light for an hour, he comes back to find out that 100 years passed on earth and to find everyone a 100 years older or passed away, while he did not age except for an hour. Time dilation provides some explanation of how a day in God’s dominion could equal a thousand of our years. In other words, what takes humans a thousand year to accomplish, God can do in just one day. According to the laws of physics and the relation between time, speed and space, when speed reaches certain level, time gives in and dilates.

“I’ll begin with part of Einstein’s “Theory of Relativity.” One of the things this theory states is that “time” is relative to one’s motion and also to the amount of gravity exerted on one. This is the theory everyone has heard. It says that the faster you travel, the more time slows for the traveler”.

“Einstein came up with an example to show the effects of time dilation that he called the “twin paradox.”. Let’s try it out with a pair of pretend twins, Al and Bert, both of whom are 10 years old. Al’s parents decide to send him to summer camp in the Alpha-3 star system, which is 25 light-years away (a light-year is the distance light travels in a year). Bert doesn’t want to go and stays home on Earth. So Al sets out on his own. Wanting him to get there as quickly as possible, his parents pay extra and send him at 99.99 percent the speed of light. The trip to the star and back takes 50 years. What happens when Al returns? His twin brother is now 60 years old, but Al is only 10 and a half. How can this be? Al was away for 50 years but only aged by half a year. Al’s trip into space lasted only a half year for him, but on Earth 50 years passed.”

[Quran 70:4] The angels, with their reports, climb to Him in a day that equals fifty thousand years.

Understanding the concept of time dilation sheds some light on how things are controlled by God in an efficient and amazingly fast manner. God’s angels accomplish in one day, what takes humans 50, 000 years to accomplish. In other words, while a destination far in space, could be reached in one day by God’s angels, it takes humans 50, 000 years to reach the same destination. This awesome efficiency and speed are simply far beyond our imagination and far beyond our comprehension, even now after we learned about time dilation and related laws.

[Quran 54:50] Our commands are done within the blink of an eye.

It is worthwhile to mention that, scientists found out that, humans would never be able to travel at the speed of light and realistically, they could not even travel close to the speed of light. While spaceships travel at about tens of thousands of miles per hour, it is decreed that humans can never travel at or even, near the speed of light. Scientists suggest that if we could travel close to the speed of light, we would travel into the future and if we exceed the speed of light, time would go in reverse and we could travel into the past.

[Quran 22:76] He knows their past and their future. To God belongs the ultimate control of all matters.

The divinity of the words of Quran has been proven and the knowledge that God revealed in the scripture could not come from other than The Supreme who teaches humans what they never knew. [Quran 10:37] This Quran could not possibly be authored by other than God. It confirms all previous messages, and provides a fully detailed scripture. It is infallible, for it comes from the Lord of the universe. [Quran 65:12] God created seven universes and the same number of earths. The commands flow among them. This is to let you know that God is Omnipotent, and that God is fully aware of all things.

1400 years ago, no one including prophet Muhammad, no one knew about time dilation or Einstein’s Theory of Relativity. These above verses describing time dilation with a glimpse of how God runs the whole universe, add a strong evidence of the divinity of the words of Quran. After all, God gives us the example of light when He describes Himself. [24:35] God is the light of the heavens and the earth. The allegory of His light is that of a concave mirror behind a lamp that is placed inside a glass container. The glass container is like a bright, pearl-like star. The fuel thereof is supplied from a blessed oil-producing tree that is neither eastern, nor western. Its oil is almost self-radiating; needs no fire to ignite it. Light upon light. God guides to His light whoever wills (to be guided). God thus cites the parables for the people. God is fully aware of all things.

[Quran 7:143] ….., “Be You glorified. I repent to You, and I am the most convinced believer.” [Quran 7:155] …..You are our Lord and Master, so forgive us, shower us with Your mercy; You are the best Forgiver.

  1. He is the One who initiates and repeats

[Quran 59:24] He is the One God; the Creator, the Initiator, the Designer. To Him belong the most beautiful names. Glorifying Him is everything in the heavens and the earth. He is the Almighty, Most Wise.

God reminds us in Quran that among His signs of infinite mercy and power is that He REPEATS His creation, constantly, in addition to initiating it. The precise balance (15:19-21) of all the seen and unseen creatures committed in the service of humans (31:20), necessitates the repetition of the creation. As long as souls are brought back to life on earth to use their last chance of redemption, God will continue to REPEAT His creation and maintain that accurate balance.

[Quran 10:4] To Him is your ultimate return, all of you. This is God’s truthful promise. He initiates the creation, then repeats it, in order to reward those who believe and lead a righteous life, equitably. As for those who disbelieve, they incur hellish drinks, and a painful retribution for their disbelieving.

Study the Origin of Life [Quran 29:19] Have they not seen how God initiates the creation, then repeats it? This is easy for God to do.

Repeating the creation has been always a difficult concept for the majority that questions the Hereafter. God creates whatever He wills whenever He wills and also repeats His creation precisely whenever He wills and according to His predetermined plans:

[Quran 36:77] Does the human being not see that we created him from a tiny drop, then he turns into an ardent enemy? [Quran 36:78] He raises a question to us – while forgetting his initial creation – “Who can resurrect the bones after they had rotted?”

[Quran 36:79] Say, “The One who initiated them in the first place will resurrect them. He is fully aware of every creation.” [Quran 36:81] Is not the One who created the heavens and the earth able to recreate the same? Yes indeed; He is the Creator, the Omniscient. [Quran 36:82] All He needs to do to carry out any command is to say to it, “Be,” and it is. [Quran 56:47] They said, “After we die and turn to dust and bones, we get resurrected? [Quran 56:48] “Does this include our forefathers?” [Quran 23:34] “If you obey a human being like you, then you are really losers. [Quran 23:35] “Does he promise you that, after you die and turn into dust and bones, you will come out again? [Quran 23:36] “Impossible, impossible indeed is what is promised to you. [Quran 46:33] Do they not realize that God, who created the heavens and the earth without the least effort, is able to revive the dead? Yes indeed; He is Omnipotent. The balanced repetition of creation also includes the sophisticated regeneration of the cells within the same species during its life span. This is a fact of both living and sustenance. As an example, in the human species, our blood cells, manufactured in our bone marrows, have a specific and limited life span and it is a fact that new ones have to be constantly recreated every single second. There is 2.5 millions of red blood cells (only one kind of our blood cells) to be produced every second to maintain a satisfied level in our blood since the average life span of every cell is only about 120 days. This is necessary to maintain a 2.5 trillion balance at any moment. Another example is that the cells of our 100, 000 taste buds on our tongue are constantly being renewed every ten hours roughly. We shed about 40 pounds of skin cells in average life time and new ones are constantly recreated. The same mechanism goes basically with all of our tissue cells at different rates. Considering all our body tissues, 25, 000, 000 new cells are being recreated or regenerated by God Almighty per second. Any minor imbalance of this process, result in health disorders of various intensities.

[Quran 30:27] And He is the One who initiates the creation, then repeats it; this is even easier for Him. To Him belongs the most sublime similitude, in the heavens and the earth, and He is the Almighty, Most Wise. [Quran 51:21] And within yourselves; can you see? [Quran 77:19] Woe on that day to the rejectors. [Quran 77:20] Did we not create you from a lowly liquid? [Quran 77:21] Then we placed it in a well-protected repository. [Quran 77:22] For a specific period. [Quran 77:23] We measured it precisely. We are the best designers.

With the incomparable perfection of our creation and recreation, God has posed a challenge for the humans to recreate just one fly – the insect that is considered the main food supply for frogs and birds and has an average life span of only twenty days! Indeed, like all living creatures, God almighty repeats the fly’s creation every second. There are some amazing facts that are worth studying about flies. There are over 120, 000 species of flies ranging in size from 1/20th of an inch to three inches. That makes up the fourth largest insect order – about 12% of the total insect population. Eliminating 1 female fly can reduce fly populations by up to 500 flies/year.

Flies are born full size – they don’t grow. They have 4000 lenses in each eye. They are capable of smelling through their antennae. They hunt very low for food -18″ or less from the ground. Flies remain dormant until their body temperature reaches approximately 65 degrees F. They love heat, light, and low wind. They don’t have teeth or a stinger, so they don’t bite nor do they sting. To attack, they simply thrust a needle-like spike into their victims and injects a digestive juice that breaks down the victims cell tissue. They then suck the liquid in to ingest it.

Flies are the only insects that have only two wings. All other insects have four wings. A fly’s wings beat 200 times per second! Average speed of a fly in flight is 4.5 m.p.h.. Flies jump up and backwards when taking off. They only continue to beat their wings so long as their feet are free. As soon as the feet become stationary, they stop flying. This is the fundamental rule of Fly Power! They are especially very quick in takeoffs and landings – their skill far exceeds that of any other insect or bird. Scientists found that the tiny wing stubs called halteres in a fly are actually wired to the flies’ eyes. In the virtual reality system, there was an obvious and immediate connection between those muscles and the eyes. These are just few facts about flies. Can the human idols repeat the creation of just one fly out of the 120, 000 species?

Can They Create a Fly?[Quran 22:73] O people, here is a parable that you must ponder carefully: the idols you set up beside God can never create a fly, even if they banded together to do so. Furthermore, if the fly steals anything from them, they cannot recover it; weak is the pursuer and the pursued.

The challenge of initiating and repeating the creation as well as the most logical debates about it are cited clearly in Quran posing questions for the intelligent ones: Who is in full control of that? Do coincidences exist? and if they do, would they repeat in constant, precise, consistent, and objective manner?

[Quran 15:19] As for the earth, we constructed it, and placed on it stabilizers (mountains), and we grew on it a perfect balance of everything. [Quran 15:20] We made it habitable for you, and for creatures you do not provide for.

[Quran 15:21] There is nothing that we do not own infinite amounts thereof. But we send it down in precise measure. [Quran 15:22] And we send the winds as pollinators, and cause water to come down from the sky for you to drink. Otherwise, you could not keep it palatable. [Quran 15:23] It is we who control life and death, and we are the ultimate inheritors. [Quran 27:64] Who is the One who initiates the creation, then repeats it? Who is the One who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? Is it another god with God? Say, “Show me your proof, if you are truthful.”

Reflect on Your Idols [Quran 10:34] Say, “Can any of your idols initiate creation, then repeat it?” Say, “God initiates the creation, then repeats it. How could you deviate?” [Quran 16:17] Is One who creates like one who does not create? Would you now take heed?

  1. Divine Appreciation

All God’s attributes are represented by Him in the utmost and absolute perfection and purity. Because God is infallible, He sets for us the highest of the highest example for each of His divine attributes. He also explains to us the dynamic of each one through clear teachings and allegories. God advises us in Quran to race and strive towards some of His divine beauty and righteousness. Although we can NEVER achieve His perfection, He would like to see us faithful, just, kind, truthful, compassionate and merciful. He would like to see us peaceful, forgiving and appreciative. He is the infinite source and the divine representation of these attributes.

[Quran 30:27] And He is the One who initiates the creation, then repeats it; this is even easier for Him. To Him belongs the most sublime similitude, in the heavens and the earth, and He is the Almighty, Most Wise. [Quran 16:60] Those who do not believe in the Hereafter set the worst examples, while to God belongs the most sublime examples. He is the Almighty, the Most Wise.

Throughout Quran, we learn that being appreciative of God is an act and a dynamic expression rather than a static feeling of recognition. Our actions validate our appreciation for God. Believing in the truth is only an initial choice we make on the right path. Appreciating that truth and expressing our appreciation determines our true convictions. We express our appreciation by acting upon our belief and striving to lead the righteous life style dictated by God. Such expression of our appreciation by leading a righteous life is always a condition, side by side to our belief in God and the Last Day, to be redeemed (2:62, 2:112, 5:69, 46:13, 17:19 and many more). Thus, actively expressing our appreciation spells out the test of being on earth and constitutes a vital element for salvation.

[Quran 47:31] We will certainly put you to the test, in order to distinguish those among you who strive, and steadfastly persevere. We must expose your true qualities.

One of the attributes of the Most Gracious is being Appreciative/Shakoor/Shaker which indicates to us that appreciation is mutually practiced by God and His righteous servants. When God’s allies are appreciative of Him and when they prove their convictions and express their appreciation through righteousness, God displays for them His divine appreciation of their righteous efforts. Because God is infallible, He sets the perfect example teaching us that appreciation is an act and a dynamic expression. How does God validate His divine appreciation? What are the divine acts of appreciation? When we reflect on the following verses, we rejoice in His promises for the righteous in this life and in the Hereafter. This is how God expresses His appreciation of righteousness:

[Quran 42:23] This is the good news from God to His servants who believe and lead a righteous life. Say, “I do not ask you for any wage. I do ask each of you to take care of your own relatives.” Anyone who does a righteous work, we multiply his reward for it. God is Forgiver, Appreciative. [Quran 64:17] If you lend God a loan of righteousness, He will multiply the reward for you manifold, and forgive you. God is Appreciative, Clement. [Quran 17:19] As for those who choose the Hereafter as their priority, and work righteousness, while believing, their efforts will be appreciated. [Quran 4:147] What will God gain from punishing you, if you became appreciative and believed? God is Appreciative, Omniscient. [Quran 35:29] Surely, those who recite the book of God, observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), and from our provisions to them they spend – secretly and publicly – are engaged in an investment that never loses. [Quran 35:30] He will recompense them generously, and will multiply His blessings upon them. He is Forgiving, Appreciative. [Quran 35:34] They will say, “Praise God for removing all our worries. Our Lord is Forgiving, Appreciative. [Quran 2:245] Who would lend God a loan of righteousness, to have it repaid to them multiplied manifold? God is the One who provides and withholds, and to Him you will be returned. [Quran 47:7] O you who believe, if you support God, He will support you, and strengthen your foothold. [Quran 3:133] You should eagerly race towards forgiveness from your Lord and a Paradise whose width encompasses the heavens and the earth; it awaits the righteous, [Quran 3:134] who give to charity during the good times, as well as the bad times. They are suppressors of anger, and pardoners of the people. God loves the charitable. [Quran 3:135] If they fall in sin or wrong their souls, they remember God and ask forgiveness for their sins – and who forgives the sins except God – and they do not persist in sins, knowingly. [Quran 3:136] Their recompense is forgiveness from their Lord, and gardens with flowing streams; they abide therein forever. What a blessed reward for the workers! [Quran 21:94] As for those who work righteousness, while believing, their work will not go to waste; we are recording it. [Quran 47:35] Therefore, you shall not waver and surrender in pursuit of peace, for you are guaranteed victory, and God is with you. He will never waste your efforts. [Quran 61:11] Believe in God and His messenger and strive in the cause of God with your money and your lives. This is the best deal for you, if you only knew. [Quran 61:12] In return, He forgives your sins, and admits you into gardens with flowing streams, with beautiful mansions in the gardens of Eden. This is the greatest triumph. [Quran 61:13] Additionally, you get something you truly love: support from God and guaranteed victory. Give good news to the believers. [Quran 14:27] God strengthens those who believe with the proven word, in this life and in the Hereafter. And God sends the transgressors astray. Everything is in accordance with God’s will.

We work hard to validate our belief and express our appreciation to God (90:4). Bound by our limitations and fallibility, it takes a tremendous effort, self-discipline, dedication, and a high level of honesty, integrity, reverence and compassion to succeed in that and do justice to our souls. Because God is infallible, His acts of appreciation represent the perfect and infinite justice, integrity, compassion, mercy and grace.
